Good to know: Today the VKU must be completed before your practical exam. From 1 January 2027, it must be completed before you can register for the theory exam (ASTRA change) — booking early is the safe plan either way.

From the train to your classroom
At Zurich HB, follow the signs for Europaallee. Head onto the PH Zurich campus square and look for the LAB building at Lagerstrasse 2. The display to the right of its entrance lists the room for your course; check it each time, as the room can change.
Allow time to find the room before the lesson begins. For the route video and campus plan, open the course venue guide.
If your plans change
At least 6 days before the course starts: use your DriveLab account to cancel or change dates free of charge. Payments already made are refunded for a cancellation within this deadline.
Closer to the start: the full fee is normally payable if you cancel or cannot attend, including because of illness. Section 6 of thebooking terms sets out the exceptions: an eligible replacement participant, wallet credit when your place is filled, and evidence of a smaller loss or no loss.
Plan to stay for every course block. Arriving late or leaving early can prevent completion; there is no automatic right to a refund or a replacement session. Any cancellation cover would come from your own insurer, subject to your policy. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

How the Booking Process Works
- Select Your Date: Choose a course from the schedule above that fits your availability — dates are shown live, with evening and weekend options.
- Register Online: Click Book now, complete your details and choose a payment method at the DriveLab checkout.
- Get Confirmation: After completing the DriveLab checkout, you will receive your course confirmation with both dates, the venue and arrival details.
- Attend the Course: Come to our modern classroom near Zurich HB and complete your 8-hour VKU course, taught entirely in English by a certified instructor.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book my VKU course?
Select your preferred date from the live schedule and click “Book now”. The selected course opens on DriveLab, where you complete registration and payment together.
What happens after I register?
After completing your booking and payment on DriveLab, you will receive your course confirmation with the timetable, location and what to bring. Please check your spam folder if you do not see it.
Can I reschedule my course?
You can cancel or change your dates without a fee through your DriveLab account at least 6 days before the course begins. Later changes normally cost the full course fee, subject to the exceptions in section 6 of the booking terms. Contact info@drivelab.ch if you need assistance.
