Plan your journey from Enge to the VKU classroom
For a start at Zürich Enge station, compare a train connection to Zürich HB with the local route from your actual address. The destination is the single DriveLab course venue at PH Zurich, Lagerstrasse 2. This guide helps you choose the departure point, allow for the final walk and reserve both course days around work or study.

How to reach LAB from Enge
If you are closer to a tram stop in Enge or Wollishofen than to the railway station, compare the complete journey to Lagerstrasse 2 instead of walking to Enge solely for the train. Use the current timetable for the day you attend; a named tram line alone does not establish a suitable connection.
Train from Zürich Enge
- In the SBB or ZVV planner, enter Zürich Enge as the start and Zürich HB as the destination.
- Select a connection for your course date and check that the train actually stops at HB; not every service from a station has the same route.
- At HB, use the Europaallee exit and continue to the LAB building on the PH campus square.
Check the current ZVV journey planner or SBB connections. Use arrival time rather than departure time when planning for a fixed lesson start.
Local tram or bus alternative
Enter your nearest stop or street address and Lagerstrasse 2 in the journey planner. Compare the walking portions as well as the in-vehicle time. PH Zurich identifies Sihlpost as the nearby stop for surface transport. Follow the planner’s current service instructions, then use the campus plan for LAB rather than another PH building.
At LAB, the screen to the right of the entrance identifies the room. Check it on each day; the classroom can change.
Driving and parking
Use Lagerstrasse 2, 8004 Zurich as the destination when comparing the journey from Enge. Check current road access and paid public parking before leaving; no general visitor parking is provided on the PH campus. Campus parking is reserved for visitors with reduced mobility.
Allow for the walk from your chosen car park and finding the course room. Do not rely on a fixed driving time in city traffic. If you need step-free access or accessible parking, contact DriveLab before the course so the room and approach can be checked.
Campus reference: PH Zurich access information. For the course entrance, use DriveLab’s venue video and campus plan. The course address is the same for all the arrival guides on this site.
Fitting both sessions around a south-Zurich journey
Living near the lake does not identify one universal fastest route. Your starting address and the time you leave matter more than a fixed neighbourhood travel-time promise.
Before choosing a date
For a departure from Tessinerplatz, check the actual stop and direction shown by the planner; the station name may refer to more than one boarding point.
Check the second journey
If you leave from Bahnhofstrasse after work but return home to Enge, plan the outward and return journeys separately.
Leave an arrival buffer
For a Friday/Saturday course, do not reuse the Friday departure: the Saturday session may begin in the morning.
English teaching requires enough fluency to understand and take part at B2 level. The CHF 159 price for the current 2026 courses includes all eight hours, materials and the certificate; it is not a charge for each separate day. Bring your learner’s permit and an official ID for a 2026 course. For the changed sequence and format from 2027, read the dated rules below.
The course choice matters as much as the route: compare two evening sessions with a Friday-evening/Saturday-morning pair on the live timetable. Use the actual listed times, as you cannot swap individual blocks between courses automatically. Registration and payment are completed with the same DriveLab provider.

Frequently Asked Questions: VKU English from Enge
I have a foreign license. Do I need the VKU?
A licence exchange is different from first-time driver training. Do not book a VKU solely because the normal exchange period has passed: ask the cantonal road traffic office which procedure applies to your case. DriveLab’s licence-exchange guide explains the distinction; if you must restart the full learner process, confirm the required steps before booking.
